Do you just take it off before going to the gym every time or cover it with something when at the gym and lifting weights?

  1. The best way to take care of a wedding ring when going to the gym is to take it off and put it in a safe place. Most gyms have lockers that can be rented on a daily basis, so this is a great option. If there are no lockers available, another option is to wrap the ring in a small piece of cloth and tie it securely around one of the handles on a weight machine.

  2. Been married for 20 years and I want my wedding ring to look 20 years old. Just get a silicone one to wear to the gym if you’re worried about damaging it, but don’t want to take it off. I wouldn’t put it in the locker or your car at the gym, it will get stolen.

  3. Loop it into your shoe string IF you trust your shoe tying abilities.

Source: me, a guy who apparently ties his shoes like a 4 year old and loses wedding rings.

  4. I got a silicone ring and like it so much that I wear it all the time now. My wife is ok with it so my original wedding ring stays in her jewelry box at home.

  5. I can’t wear one because of my job. Neither can my wife. So we don’t wear one at all.

  6. have a platinum ring. i never take it off for anything. and the scrapes/scruffs just add to the “patina” that gives it more character.

  7. Put it in my gym bag side zip pocket along with my car keys and shove it in the locker.

  8. The girls are going to see the ring mark, plus it works out better if they know you are married from the get go.

  9. I take it off when doing pulling stuff. Everything else I just wear it. I spent about $100 for a simple silver band, I’m not super concerned about it getting scratched/scuffed because that’s kinda the point. It’s there through the good and the bad.

  10. Silicone rings. They are literally cheap and can be thrown away without a second thought. I wear them out and pitch them.
