I’m very curious about this because I feel the title “best friend” can be a true thing or can just be a social pressure for others.
I did once, but I was late to her birthday party and she dumped me a few years back. Clearly there was more issues she had with me but she never told me about them and I’m honestly glad she did. We had been friends for 10+ years and in that time I saw her cheat on her relationships and drop people she dated or befriended, so it shouldn’t have been a shock she did the same to me.
Anyway I have “friends”, but I’m an adult who works a lot and an introvert, so I have friends I can hangout with, and I’m dating, but sometimes I feel alone or strange because I don’t have a sidekick or a best friend anymore. Does anyone not have a best friend, because I think everyone claims someone in their life to be one, and there are plenty of online memes about it to rub it in my face lol. But does everyone seriously have one?

  1. I did. Some mistakes were made in his marriage and he went to a pretty dark place after that, basically any relationship except for his marriage ceased to exist. I support his decision to put all of his focus on his household, I do miss my friend though. I never had that strong of a friendship before then and I sincerely doubt I’ll have one like it again.
