I’ve been a bit stressed and anxious about a few things and I want to know what you guys do to calm down.

  1. Take three big breaths, hold for a second in between and then let them out in their entirety.

Relax your physical body. Unclench that jaw, stop making a fist, relax your back.

You’re in fight or flight mode for no reason. Nothing is going to come in here and punch you in the head. That’s a lot of wasted energy.

  2. Listen to monk chanting and make the “hmmm” buzzing with it, controlling breathing.

  3. Depends on what the source of the stress is. If it’s something I can’t do anything about at that moment I simply don’t worry about it and go do something else.

  4. Meditation helped me a lot, and I’ve been thinking about starting again.

I’ve used Headspace mostly, but I started with some free guided meditation from an university. This was about a decade ago, so there’s probably hundred more choices now.

Other than that, running and walking. There’s something oddly calming about long distance running at 5:30am

  5. My stress/anxiety is very high at the moment. Therapy gave me some exercises to try. Family doctor prescribed some adrenaline blockers.

  6. Breathe deeply and concentrate on it

    Go for a long walk

Hit the punchbag and listen to workout music

    Work out in general
