I’ve been on and off online dating apps and sites since they were first designed, and when it was extremely uncool to mention them. “Tell them we met at the market” was a common thing. I’ve had some good success over the years, but the last year it’s been abysmal. Dating a woman for a few months until March 2021, and literally haven’t gotten to first base since. I’ve had a few full counts, but generally just striking out.

The issue……….I get mutual likes, and every so often exchange a few lines with women. A few rare cases we exchanged numbers and chatted off site. But for the most part it’s literally a few exchanges back and forth, than I get either ‘unmatched’ or ghosted. Have no idea what I’m doing wrong. Feels like there’s only so much I can do so early on when it’s a basic ‘hello, how are you’, etc.

Any suggestions for those first few exchanges?

  1. That’s kind of part of the thing with this online stuff. However, main thing is be fun/funny and not boring. Stand out from the bazillion other dudes hitting them up constantly.
