hi,
after a very awkward and embarrassing call with a sexual health clinic (they said they couldn’t help me) this is one of the only immediate places to turn to which i could think of.
to put it simply, i cannot feel any sort of penetration anymore – i lost all erotic feeling around a month ago? maybe slightly more.
i would really rather not go to the doctors about this as i’ve already been embarrassed enough and i’m not sure if it would be inappropriate to go to one about this because im 17? i dont know if theyd take me seriously. i just feel like im broken and i dont know how to fix or who to even go to
i still feel everything in my clit and get the urge to have something inside but i just cant feel anything? like i know there’s something in me and i can feel it going in and out just no erotic feeling.
i looked it up and it said hormonal changes and stress can cause numbness but im not really sure how to exactly fix that? do you think it could be perhaps more of a mental problem then physical?
absolutely any help would be appreciated, im so upset and confused by it all and would just like to get back to normal

I don’t see how any of this can be resolved without medical intervention. You should be seen by an OBGYN to make sure you don’t have something physically wrong and possibly a therapist if it turns out to be mental. Sure, it’s probably going to be embarrassing but it’s some embarrassment or possible serious untreated medical issue.
You can go to a female OBGYN if that makes you feel more comfortable, a lot of women prefer it because they feel there’s a much more sympathetic tone. This is something that *needs* medical attention though, I don’t think there’s any getting around that. Sudden loss in sensation should be checked out. It seems embarrassing but drs see EVERYTHING, your issue is routine for them. It’s also worth the temporary embarrassment to make sure nothing is wrong medically.
Have you previously felt something from penetration? Some women don’t get much stimulation from penetration alone, where the clit is where they get the most stimulation
