I was a manager for a store at the mall where I live, I quit because of the stress due to the pandemic. I found a part time job a year later working in another store, I didn’t stay long because it was mainly women and there was a lot of drama, for example people calling HR because they “looked at you wrong” or said something that went against popular opinion. I’m currently in school full time and I’m applied to other places for a part time job and so far I haven’t had any luck.

  1. It took me about three months to find a job after taking so much time out of the workforce.

  2. Usually 3 months of active looking, but those jobs all ended badly. I believe conventional wisdom is 6ish months, but right now everything is jacked up and a lot of companies are holding out for purple unicorns in hopes unemployment skyrockets.

  3. Year and a half. I was just horribly unlucky but it paid off in the end and I really like my current job.

  4. I have worked consistently since I was 17 years old including while I was in college. Have had two jobs for the past 8 years. Not sure how anyone can afford to not work.
