I was wondering what are the safest apps/sites to use for dating? Like ones where I don’t have to pay every time I want to talk to someone, because recently I’ve tried different sites and it’ll try and get me to pay for their services but I just got off those sites.

  1. Hinge is my favourite! It seems to be the one free app that requires the most effort. I like to believe more serious daters are on that one.

  2. All the apps have different approaches to pay walls. Also app popularity changes based on region (along with average age, gender ratio, etc).

    **Hinge** – Absolute best. You can like + DM simultaneously and get up to 10 DMs a day or something and a superlike (rose). Also has a nice profile layout. You can also review skipped profiles (good for rural-area users)

    **Tinder** – Requires both people to match eachother for a conversation unless you get the max subscription which lets you DM (if you do get one, wait for a sale). Honestly this app sucks for free users because youre looking at a 70% male / 30% female gender ratio and if you swipe right with gold youre going to appear first for women. So the free users who swipe right are likely never even getting seen.

    **Bumble** – It’s quite nice as a guy / free user as you really only have to swipe and then wait for the match/DM. One thing that REALLY sucks with Bumble is that you cant ‘review skipped profiles’ like Hinge does – which is sucky if youre in a Rural area theres a lack of users, it’s like ‘ok I’ve seen all 25 women in my town, time to lower my standards and swipe right on one of them’. Nope.

    **OKCupid** – riddled with pay walls BUT its questionaire type approach allows you to get a good sense of who youre talking once you actually match and start DMing. My main problem with this is theres a lot of bots.

    **POF** – Used to be the best cause you could Like / DM unlimited but now you’re limited to 1 DM a day. Pretty shit

    **Match** – paywall’d up to the extreme
