So I (22M) want to ask out a female groupmate that I am interested in. I don’t get romantic interests often, and my previous relationship was nearly 3 years ago. I’ve never done this before, but since my romantic interests are so far and few between, I really want to shoot my shot before it’s too late.

So far, we have spent time in class and had a meal (as a group), and we talked quite a bit, so I know a little about her interests etc. but not enough to be considered “close”. Our collaboration will be ending in a month or so, so I feel that if I ask her out now, it wouldn’t have an effect on the project, since it’ll be over anyway.

I’ll probably approach her in real life and while having a conversation casually asks if she wants to go out for a coffee/for a meal. The problem is, I can’t find opportunities where it is just the two of us. This is because our project group consists of her (+ her good friend) and me (+ my good friend). As such, I don’t know how to find an opportunity to have a conversation where it is just us two. If anyone has suggestions on how to go about this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  1. Just ask her to talk to her alone. Asking her out in front of her friend and your friend adds way too much pressure.
