So I’ve been one of those people to always fluctuate with my weight. I was fat in middle school, borderline anorexic and high school, middled out in college.

Then Around the time I turned 28 my body types started settling a lot like my father’s. Very flat stomach but a very large posterior. No matter how much I exercise that side of my body is always gonna be big and according to my father Kala, all the men on his side of the family are unfortunately built like that.

I’ve talked to a few of my friends and they said that they kind of had the same thing where their body type just kind of hits an equilibrium equilibrium despite I’ve talked to a few of my friends and they said that they kind of had the same thing where their body type just kind of hits an equilibrium. Where their natural metabolism just kind of settles out

Is there any truth to that? And if there is at what age did it start happening for you

  1. Sounds like the powers that be blessed you with a dump truck ass. Truthfully there will always be a level of genetics which decides how your body structures itself. Could be a lot worse places for fat to settle

  2. More like when do you settle on your fitness goals. Im more leaner and more muscular at 31 than I was at 25. Because I watch what I eat and work out consistently.

  3. I don’t believe in the whole “you can’t help it” school of thought. My family is overweight. I was athletic, then became overweight as well. Now I’m in my 40s and in the best shape of my life. Your body is the output of your lifestyle including diet, exercise, hydration, habits etc. I’ve learned more about nutrition over the past 3 years than I did the previous 4 decades. I work out less than I did 10 years ago but my body composition is better because I know more about what I’m putting in my body.
