So, I met this girl in class and talked to her in person a couple of times. Then we started texting about studies and school. She always says stuff like “I really admire this about you” or “You make a very good first impression” whenever I bring up any kind of insecurities. I wasn’t necessarily flirting with her but I was texting her a lot. She texts me on her own half of the time but it mostly starts with studies.
Recently I told her how I felt but I didn’t ask her out. Because of me being insecure I said something like “Hey, I think we shouldn’t talk because I have a crush on you but I’m not asking you out because I know you don’t feel that way about me. I’m sorry”. She just said “Don’t worry about it. I respect whatever you wanna do.” And she’s not replying anymore. I know I should’ve done things differently but is there any chance that she actually liked me? And should I properly ask her out?
