I’ve seen so many negative posts about dating apps on Reddit, and since I have created a profile on any of them I’m coming here to asks, are any of them worth it? If so, which do you recommend? What other advice would you give a guy (48) coming back to the dating scene after 25 years? Thank you in advance.

  1. I (56 F Widow) had great luck with bumble and am near 2 years with my guy now. Keep open mind. Stay loose. Stay open. Have fun with it. It took me about 6 months and 35 dates to find BF.

  2. I had good experiences with OkCupid, but location and situation will matter a lot.

Also, men outnumber women on any given dating app. No matter what you do, luck is relevant and the odds are not awesome.

  3. Remember that not everyone is going to have the same experience on the apps and that for a fair amount of ppl that use them don’t really put the effort into them to make them work.

I also would not have dating apps as your only means of getting dates. How’s your social life? How often are you outside going to events and being around people?

  4. Hey there! I agree with the suggestions made by other users. Bumble and OKCupid are pretty good apps to try out. Coffee Meets Bagel is also not bad.

The way you go on setting up your profile matters a lot. If you need a hand with that, you can message me privately.

Other than that, just be your authentic self, and things will unfold smoothly.
