I met this girl at a college event. And she goes to the same student accomodation as me so I invited her to the common area and we talked for about 2 hours. The interaction has been very positive but I haven’t at any point escalated things and feel if I don’t do something different nothing more than friends will come from it. We get on well but she hasn’t displayed any attraction or anything towards me. Now I’ve just met her for context. What should I be doing going forward. I have a problem with escalating things.

  1. You can waste 2 hours talking about the weather or if Brady coming back for a 3rd season with the Bucs was a good idea considering it may cost him his marriage. Where is your *intel*? Does she have a BF? What does she like to eat? What does she like to do on her spare time? If she’s studying a certain course, why? What’s her hopes, dreams and aspirations? etc etc etc. Figure that out and then you can tailor a first date invite based on what she’s into. eg. she’s into country music, invite her to a concert etc. Make it an off-hand invite. A soft ball lob in her direction and see if she catches it. If not, you can brush it off as whatever and move on.
