So this is honestly my(27m) first time in a relationship and I’m kinder confuse. Just how much am I suppose to pay for(nails, feet, clothes food) for my girlfriend? Like am I suppose to pay for food everytime we go to a restaurant, because honestly I don’t have enough money to constantly be buying for someone. Don’t get me wrong I have no problem paying for stuff here and there, but not every single time. So I guess I have to ask for a women what are the expectations for a man to provide for her(36F)?

  1. It’s up to you and her to decide.

A majority of people in the US believe first dates should have a split bill and then the couple should agree on what works well for them or their wallet.

Unless you offer to, there should be no expectation that you ever pay for her manicures, pedicures, clothes, or food.

Time to have an awkward conversation and let her know that you can occasionally treat (if you want) but that from here on out you need to be aware of your budget and just pay for yourselves and she’ll need to pay for her own clothes and spa treatments.

  2. It’s not your job to pay for any of that. She’s a grown adult. I’m assuming that at 36 she lives on her own and has a job. She can pay for her own stuff. She’s your girlfriend not your daughter.
