If nothing else, the pandemic has taught us one thing: Keep some extra toilet paper on hand.

  1. I currently have 11 rolls in the cupboard, having recently restocked, but I also have a bidet, so whatever.

  2. I never really had any trouble finding toilet paper even at the height of panic buying. I did have to buy some subpar brands (Angel Soft is NOT the ideal balance of softness and strength), but I never ran out. I may invest in a bidet, but I don’t really feel that a TP stockpile is necessary.

  3. I have storage space for ~45 rolls and get stressed out if there are <20 rolls of TP in the stockpile

  4. I never had a problem finding it. I just have one of those like 24 rolls or whatever from Walmart. I don’t like having a lot of shit waiting to be used. But I only get to the store every couple of weeks.

  5. Whatever is in one of those big ass things you get from Costco.
But we also have a bidet.

  6. I buy a 24 pack whenever I’m down to 6 or so rolls left. Which is the same buying habit I had before the pandemic, I get a bit anxious when I only have a few rolls left

  7. I have two giant packs. I forgot how much I had on my last trip to Costco and just got more.

  8. I typically buy 4 or 6 rolls at a time.
I didn’t have much trouble during the pandemic – I just may have had to use an alternate brand, or pay the higher prices of my local bodega/convenience store instead of grocery store prices.

My Dad passed a while back, and I cleaned out his house. I’ve taken possession of the family hoard, including a 48-pack of Sams’Club TP. I’ll probably be good for more than a year.

  9. I managed to avoid the TP shortage in March 2020 because I went to Costco the weekend before.

But otherwise I don’t. I buy the Costco TP and don’t think about it until I’m down to like 2-3 rolls.

  10. I get mine delivered from Who Gives a Crap, about 48 rolls at a time. We keep some in the garage and some in the closets near the bathrooms (and usually 2-3 rolls in the bathrooms). It refills regularly, usually when we’re down to about 20 extra rolls.

  11. I didn’t have a problem finding it. Even if some of the grocery stores were out, the smaller neighborhood stores and bodegas were always stocked.

So i do not have a stockpile.

  12. I was actually just getting ready to run to the store because I’m down to zero. I have enough on the last roll for maybe the rest of the day.

    I learned nothing.

  13. I keep a BJ’s size of Charmin extra strong in rotation. Buy 2, when 1 gets used buy another 1.

  14. I think I still have 20-30 cases (each is 24 rolls or so) of TP, stacked in my garage.

The story is my mother in law saw a good deal on TP about 8 years ago, and bought a literal pallet of TP. We still have not gone through it, and I wish we did because it’s the cheap junk. We have a bidet now so we don’t use much.

  15. Anything 2-ply. Not that I stockpile due to the pandemic, it’s just good to stock up so I don’t constantly run out. I usually get such things on clearance or deals and get enough for about 2 years worth of product. I haven’t bought toilet paper in about 3 years at this point.

  16. My costco is more than an hour away, and I only go about once every couple months or so, so every trip is a “stock up” trip.

I have a three huge closets in the main upstairs bathroom so one was empty except just filled with TP. I buy a package each time I go not really remembering what we have.
