A guy that I just recently started talking to asked me if I’d like to watch a movie and grab some food afterwards. This boy in question seems like a nice person but he’s on the quieter side and is more awkward. I want to be able to get to know him though so what I’m asking for are tips on how to make this go better, he’s going to drive me, and I don’t know what to wear or how to act or even how to get a good conversation going. He’s attractive which makes me even more nervous, any advice appreciated!!

Wear something that flatters your body. Personally if you’re petite I’d go with jeans and (if you are blonde for instance something red. Personal preference.
As far as interactions go just talk to him like you would anyone else. Smile, if he cracks a decent joke do your cutest laugh you can muster. Otherwise as far as talking goes just match his overall vibe or energy. If he’s being playful do the same, if he’s relaxed and just enjoying the moment do the same. There’s a thing called mirroring where you mimic subtly the other person’s body language as you talk and it’s supposed to be a “oh they are like me, I like this person” sort of thing.
And if it’s an awkward moment and you do something you think is a little embarrassing, try laughing it off and make a joke of it. Kinda like “Yeah like licking peanut butter” and follow with a laugh and a “idk why I just said that, that was so weird”. Yes that’s a bad example, but the point is just don’t take things to seriously, and just have fun be relaxed and go into it confident with a smile.
He’s probably going to be just as nervous as you, so just know you are on even ground and the worst that will happen is you have dinner and the movies with him then it doesn’t work out.
The more you do this the more you will be experienced enough to be comfortable in your own skin, and who knows the guy may be decent and you could really hit it off.

What type of things do you like to wear? My two favs for dates are either a dress and high boots (preferably overknee) or jeans and high boots. I love high boots haha. And its fall where I live so they are nice to wear too (can basically wear these any season except summer cause it will be too warm). If you go for a dress, dont get one that is very short, but also not too long because you wanna see the boots. Probably also get some tights because it can get a bit chilly in the evenings. I like to wear a blazer over a dress, but choose a coat that you like and fits the outfit. I love blazers and wear them all year round except when it’s actually freezing lol. But it freezes maybe 7 days a year over here, so it’s fine.
