How do I make friends with a woman that I work with?

Theres a woman I work with (not directly but we are in the same building, it’s a big company) and would like to be friends with her. I rarely see her around but when we do chat it’s clear that we have stuff in common and have very similar senses of humour.

I was wondering how I could arrange for us to hang out outside of work without it being awkward. I’m a guy and the reason I mention this is because I don’t want it to come across as me pursuing her romantically or anything like that.

I never know when I’m going to see her around, that’s what makes it difficult. Emailing or contacting via teams is an option but for some reason it doesn’t quite seem appropriate to me. Any advice on how to proceed is welcome, thank you!
