So I (23m) have noticed this phenomenon where other guys tend to talk the most shit about me, stare the most and this usually lasts more then a few seconds. Where as women tend to do the exact opposite and ignore me or just see me and look away and when I have to talk to them they are extremely quiet and seemingly uncomfortable or nervous, I work as a cashier and that’s why I say I HAVE to talk to them, why is this? I’ve tried looking up any potential reasons all to find nothing and I’m genuinely curious why this happens, thank you

Every where or just the workplace?
I’ve got very little information to work with here, but I’m wondering if you might be pretty attractive and don’t realize it. If guys are talking shit about you, I feel like that has more to do with their own insecurities. If they feel intimidated by you, they may try to make up for it by saying mean things about you amongst themselves. The women looking away/being quiet COULD be from them finding you attractive. It could make them shy/nervous, therefore they look away or try to ignore you. Just a guess, but I’d give it some thought.
