He needs to see a doctor for phimosis. Most cases can be treated with steroid cremes and stretching, and do’t require surgery. It will make sex WAY better for him.

There’s nothing you can do except tell him he needs to see a doctor. He could have chronic infection and inflammation untreated which could get much worse and become really painful for him and then he won’t be able to enjoy sex at all.
