Hi. I’m 26M. I’ve used dating apps for a while now with varying success but I find the opening conversation quite hard.
I always try to come across as confident. But also look for something unique in their pictures and ask about that or similar.
A really hot girl liked me first and I was buzzing. Messaged her saying I’ve been wanting to send her a like for ages but I couldn’t coz she was on my top picks. She then replied ‘oh not worth a super like then am I’ and I said as a joke ‘yeah I considered but I was like nah not worth it 😉’. She replied saying ‘interesting first impression’ so I responded with ‘well I figured I’d get you a real rose after our first date instead 🤷♂️’
She didn’t reply. 😂
Maybe that was a bit over the top? But I’m not sure how to approach it coz if you go super nice or Chuck a load of compliments that doesn’t seem to work either?
How do I approach this?
Tl;dr not sure how to approach first conversation on dating apps

Ummm…. Confident doesn’t mean being a dick. Negging is bs. I’d have unmatched after that message tbh.
Think first messages it’s good to ask questions
