A house
Just wanted to know what you wanted and you said to yourself “when i grow up i’ll have this”
It can be material or not. From a toy you really wanted to a luxury car. Anything that your inner child still wanted to have.
In my case are shoes/sneakers. As a boy i wanted to have more than 1 pair. One for running, one for going out with friends, etc. Now i’m able to and that little mind bug is finally at peace.
That and also new clothes, most of my wardrobe were clothes from my cousin, that resulted in me disliking second hand clothes. But i still donate my stuff in good conditions to people who may need it 🙂
A carolean uniform.
Baseball and hockey jerseys. Its a hobby
A trip to Disney World.
I drunken impulse bought off Amazon one of those giant colorful parachutes you used to play with in gym class as a kid. No regrets. That thing is awesome at parties.
A Macross Valkyrie. Even nowadys putting 500 bucks towards a model is something you have to plan for.
My car. I always wanted a WRX because my brother’s best friend from high school was really into the Lancer EVOLUTION. He was like a brother to me and sadly passed in a car accident about 14 years ago.
A sword. As a young adult I collected replicas. Most of those have either been gifted away or thrown out due to sword fighting breaking them. Noone got hurt, surprisingly.
When I found a nice battle-ready sword, I saved up and got it. It’s still a replica, but of a historic anglo-saxon sword. It was $700 so it’s not like a hand-forged bladesmith’s pride, but it’s still good quality.
Dodge Viper. I can easily afford the gas and insurance. But the car is so ridiculous in 2022. I can’t convince myself to buy it.
I’m sure a lot of stuff, but the only thing I can remember is a musical keyboard. Still haven’t bought one.
Lego millennium falcon and death star.
Always wanted to be a pilot. And although I could not make it through education, now as an adult I have my Sailplane Pilot License
As much Lego as I wanted lol, I don’t know why but sitting down to build a big set always chills me the fuck out
A setup. I got my PC with 2 monitors, a tablet, a good smartphone, a nest hub, surround sound, headsets, a good chair and etc.
Legos. Honestly I don’t *really* have the disposable income for them, but I’m living with my parents and they’re not charging me rent, so I can get away with it for now.
Maxi King
I grew up by the best hobby shop in the city in the early 70s, so would go and just look at all the cool models that there was no way I could afford. Much frustration.
In my forties, I started collecting and playing the tabletop wargame Warmachine/Hordes along with my sons. Thousands of dollars, countless hours learning the rules, building and painting the models, playing against my sons.
We had a blast.
Now my eyesight is too weak to paint or play anymore, but I still have my books and models.
iPhone 5, but now it has a dumb software
Maybe not child, but young teen. Wanted a Fender bass. Now at 30 I own a few
New car and new motorcycle.
Reeces. I loved those bars so much and swore that when I grew up is but hundreds of them.
