My boyfriend never checks his phone and we barely talk in the day I miss him a lot and while when I do get to see him it is quality time and we are never interrupted by his phone which I love I don’t get much time to talk to him when I’m not with him what should I do? (P.s. he also stays really busy bc he’s been searching for a job and his mom is constantly on him about helping his friend or finding a job)

What’s stopping you from NOT being long distance? The best way to fix your problem is to move to him or vise-versa.
Checking the phone is not like quality time with the GF. If you have a set time to talk every night, wait till then. Things aren’t going to get better until you complete your year contract and can move out to him.
Tell him you wanna talk to him more.
