sooo this is kind of a weird situation. this girl I’m friends with recently started her own charity organization, and made me second in command, despite me not having any relevant qualifications and living 2-isch hours away, I’m a bit confused, but I appreciate it
its not like a honorary position either, she comes to me when she’s making big decisions, letting me have the final say in a lot of it, which none of the other members ever have done.
we’re about to have our first official meeting, to plan things, but it seems none of the other members will be there, just me and her.. apparently, the meeting isn’t even taking place at the actual hq, instead she’s taking a 2hour+ trip to where i am, over coffee or drinks?
basically, i’m confused as to why i of all people became her second-in-command and why she lets me make those big decisions, despite basically zero qualifications. i haven’t even seen the hq, or met any of the members

Regardless of gender I would do something like this for a person I work well together and who’s input I value very much.
My guess? Either she *really* likes your work ethic/has worked well together with you in the past, or (my money’s on this one) she likes you and wants an excuse to spend more time with you. Disclaimer: I only have a small window into your world, but

That right there is what made me think along those lines.
There’s prob not anyone else in her new organisation.. you’re second in command because there’s just the 2 of you, hence why you’ve never met the others and they’re not at the meeting.
The charity is a front for laundering Cartel drug money and she’s setting you up for the fall when the FBI catches up with her.
Do you even know that the organization is real? Have you ever seen any documentation?
