If you went off grid for a while without informing anyone, who would notice?

  1. My husband, daughter and mum would notice immediately. My sister, friends and co-workers in less than a week. People expect to hear from me regularly.

  2. If I went off grid on Friday no one probably would notice until Wednesday. Maybe my mom or brother might call, but if I didn’t answer they might think I’m in a bad mood and would call back when I feel like it. So most likely my coworkers would be the first ones to notice on Wednesday morning.

  3. The dean will notice and suspend me , then call my parents (even though I’m an adult ) . So three people.

If he skips rounds to the ward , no one will notice.
Has happened a few times already

  4. I had one friend that contacted me 10 minutes after I logged out of everything on my computer. Discord was the big give away.

  5. I had to once and the only person who noticed was my sister, so I’m grateful for her

  6. My bf and child. Then my parents. A few hours, maybe a day or two at the most. I’m a loner by nature but very close to my family

  7. I did it in my 20s, around 2005. Told family I was going to Amsterdam for a weekend. I had tickets purchased for nz instead(visa sorted also). Just went to the airport with a backpack. It was 2 months before I got in touch with family. I went through some heavy shit and needed space. Switched off my phone as soon as I had a car and apartment. Spent 6weeks snowboarding to clear my head. Then got a job after deciding I was gonna stay where I was for a year. Let my family know then. They were livid obviously. Still haven’t really forgiven me I don’t think. I’ve always been a bit wayward

  8. Given that I struggle with depression and occasionally don’t feel like talking, probably no one for about a week, afterwards people would probably start to worry

  9. My partner would probably notice the same day, my sister within 3-ish days. For friends and family it would probably take at least a week or two, probably longer.
