I don’t talk to people.
I just get scared and back away.
Is this a valid way to live? Probably not. But it suits me. People get annoyed when I don’t talk to them but what can I do? I can’t speak. It’s not that I particularly dislike people or that I can’t speak when spoken to, I just clam up when I have to be the one to initiate conversation. Can’t talk. Can’t do it. Nope. Sorry.

I’ve been this way as long as I can remember and I don’t really know why. I’ve tried talking to a therapist about it but that didn’t help me much and due to circumstances, I’ve been out of therapy for the past 7-8 months. I don’t know what kind of help I need but I just needed a place to put my thoughts where my friends won’t see. I just don’t want them to know.

Tl;dr: I hate talking to people and I don’t know why.

  1. When you feel yourself clamming up, examine what is happening inside you. If you want to change things, you have to understand what’s happening and where to intervene
