So I see a lot of people will put their IG handle in your profile’s “about me”. Am I suppose to just DM them on their IG for hopefully a better response rate, or do I swipe right/press like and hope that they’ll match me back?
I never get the IG part, cause most cases it’s also private, so idk what’s the objective, cause I can’t see your pics…is this their ploy to get more followers?

Get more followers, think how many people will be messaging them? Probably a ton, I don’t even bother.
Following someone on social media you don’t match with never goes well.
Most of the time, they are using the app to farm IG followers. Like or pass, DM them or not, most likely nothing is going to happen either way.
If they are not follower farming, you still shouldn’t DM them on IG unless they specifically say something like “I’m not on here much, so DM me on IG if we match.”
