A hole in one
Lettered in swimming and baseball 10th, 11th, 12th grades Of high school.
I ran and won… From my neighbours dog.
Outdriving Sylvester Stallone at Studio City golf range, 1993.
Climbed the tallest peak in my home state.
I have a few I’m pretty proud of.
In the army I set a company record for my PT test. I ran 2 miles in 10:50. And I did 120 push-ups in 2 minutes
My senior year I dunked a basketball
I flat benched 425 lbs at 212lbs body weight.
Sub-6 Half IronMan.
I was playin catcher there was a hit to deep left field by the opposing teams pitcher. So I moved up the 3rd base line to get the throw from the short stop. The runner was rounding 3rd when the shortstop threw to me. I remember catching the ball and clamping my hand on it like i was taught and startin the tag. Then I woke up on the ground, the umpire was holding my head up by my face mask and yell “Are you ok?” At me. Basically the runner had thrown a shoulder into my head so he could get a home run. But since I had the ball clamped in I didnt drop it, so I got my tag, he was out and also ejected and I finished the game. Later i found out that I probably recieved a concussion. But yes i got my out
I managed to do a pull up with another 70% of my bodyweight on me
I jumped over a kids head to dunk a ball. That’s was over 30 years ago and I need a new achievement but now I’m too old and fat to do anything cool.
I was a mediocre player in a dart league. My team went against this team who took it extremely seriously – like most people just put their normal names on the score sheets, and these guys all gave themselves names like “Tank” and “Rattlesnake.” But they backed it up and were destroying us. I ended up against their team captain and actually beat him and he was pretty angry about it
500 pound deadlift after lifting for 4-5 years
Solo tackled the biggest/toughest opponent and prevented a game winning TD
Set the plank record at my academy
I wasn’t last pick for kick ball
Probably back when I used to skate, doing the longest 50-50 grind on my skateboard that I personally have ever seen anywhere! I’m sure somewhere someone has done one bigger though.
700 pound leg press, no spotter
3 Peaks challenge, for you non Brits that’s 3 mountains in the UK in 24 hours.
I was a pretty prolific Madden player in my youth. Too many Super Bowl wins to count.
I went from a fat kid who couldn’t run a mile to an adult who completed a marathon
I won 1st in a junior varsity cross country meet. Crazy being first in a race of hundreds.
Though the gap between 1st in JV and varsity was unbelievable, I think I won with a 5k time of 18:12 but the 1st place varsity was like sub 14 ☠️
Hitting a baseball into the face of the pitcher who I didn’t like. This was high school gym. By the time the day was over his cheek had swollen up and was stamped with a red mark.
Breaking a concrete slab with my fist to earn my black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
OHP 95lb DB’s 8 Reps. Last night.
300+ Sinclair coefficient as a weightlifter was pretty legit ( 110/147 @ 81kg)
I scored goals in the highest indoor football league in the netherlands
Couldn’t do a single pushup at 16. Can do about 30 in a row right now. Nothing extreme, but I went from rock bottom to fairly physically competent, and I’m immensely proud of that.
Scored a knuckleball in the top left corner of the goal from a free kick taken at the halfway line
Before I enlisted in the Army I was way below average in athletics. My parents had a Husky that would harass people in a playful way but he was too fast to be caught and so it just fed his ego. Well after basic I was on leave and I was playing with the dog and he was doing his typical tricks but I was faster than him now and I caught him. You would have thought he was being cut in half with the noises he made. He sulked and didn’t play with anyone or anything for a few days after that. He would still play with me but he wouldn’t harass me like he would everyone else.
That was a solid accomplishment.
When I was a kid I once had a huge upset win against the top seed in a youth chess tournament, maybe even on the top table idk. The organiser gave me a shout-out in front of the whole room before the next round as congratulations.
Had a batting average over .800 in a men’s baseball league.
I lifted yo mama onto the bed and then made love to her.
One night when I went to a pub to play darts, my first three darts were single bull, double bull, single bull.
Couldn’t hit shit for the rest of the night.
I have a second degree black belt in Japanese Jiu-jitsu. There aren’t too many people who came that far in this sport.
“Most improved player” varsity soccer.
Yup that’s it
I scored a touchdown. What’s the big deal about it to me? I was a linebacker.
Another good one was winning a championship in an adult karting division as a teenager.
Going to state and getting a wrestling scholarship
Was able to consistently be a starting pitcher thru Little League without being a coaches kid. I had average velocity i think, but for some reason my fastball apparently had weird movement. Id just kinda throw it and they’d often miss lmao.
Single best game was one of said coaches kids was pitching a game i started on the bench. Walked like 4 or 5 straight batters. Catcher who was my best friend at the time got frustrated (it may have been like 16 or 20 straight balls. Kid was pissed lol), they had a short “Nah fuck you” style argument, and the Catcher threw the ball to the pitcher hard and broke his nose. I replaced him, got out of the bases loaded 0 out jam, pitched the whole rest of the game (i did give up a homerun), hit a homerun, and we wound up winning.
I also played football in high school (shoulda played baseball but I’m an idiot). My crowning achievement was I didnt injure myself cuz holy fuck I sucked at that.
I rode my road bike 1028 miles in one month.
Half marathon while being on kidneydialysis i guess
Definitely in the gym. I worked really hard on getting a 1500 pound leg press and 750 pound squat. I ain’t been in awhile cause life happened, and can’t even remember what my bench was or how many pullups. But that leg press… I’m super proud of that and always will be.
I need to get back to lifting somehow…
Ran five miles in 30 mins
Played Division 1 football at a SEC school.
I was really proud when I reached a 405 lb deadlift at 190 lb body weight. I was surprised the first time I did it, but the times after that, I was just really proud that it was more than just a flash in the pan on one good day.
I had the most walks AND hit by pitches as a batter in the league and school’s history
