As described in the title.. how am I supposed to interpret this? They broke up cos of her having some fatal health issue. They dated for 2 years, broke up more than a year ago. We’ve been dating for 4 months and are exclusively seeing each other, but not in a relationship yet.
I kinda feel like given his history he might be very cautious about getting into a relationship. I do want a relationship at some point soon. Should I have a discussion about it with him soon or should I just see how it goes?

What made him think saying that is a good thing!? Get another guy. He allready compares you to another woman. How do you think it will be in the future?
He has a type. You and his ex happen to fall into that type. Don’t think to hard about it, because there’s nothing there.
He has a looks type. So do I.
He likes the way you look. It’s not something he should say out loud but it’s nothing to be concerned about.
