I like to move around a lot when I’m sleeping and we couldn’t find a single mattress that was big enough for the both of us. So we got two separate king size mattresses and combined them. So technically we’re sleeping on different beds, just right next each other. Does anybody else do this?

  1. Yes, my wife and I have a split king, independently fully adjustable and separate sheets and covers. We love it.

  2. If our bedroom was bigger we would probably do that. We love each other and cuddle but when it’s time to sleep, I flop around like a dying fish and it drives him nuts. But I can never get comfortable (I suck at sleeping)! So no, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it if it works for you!

  3. Who cares if it works for you it can be the weirdest thing in the world and it doesn’t matter lol.

  4. 2 kings seems fairly large to me and I would not like it personally. Not a thing wrong with it if it works for you though. We did briefly sleep on 2 twins pushed together, but they did not weigh enough and they would separate and I would fall through the gap. That was just odd to wake up under the bed.

I mean isn’t this somewhat similar to the concept of a sleep number bed with more room?

  5. Yeah. What a freak. This is clearly nothing but sexual deviancy and you should be ashamed of yourself. Real married couples share every shift during the night.

Do you get off on falling down between your mattresses or something?

  6. Two *king sized* mattresses? Are you both 8 feet tall, or… you just enjoy a lot of real estate?

  7. Yeah, very weird. I knew a couple who pushed a double and a queen together (they were both retired high-level rugby players and pretty large people). But you have the space and it works for you, so who cares if it’s weird?
