Honestly, probably not worth it unless you’re going to go get it yourself, had two versions of this.
One was in work as an expensive bit of kit was stolen, we found it on ebay with matching spec, condition and even serial code. Told the police, they didn’t bother doing anything about it.
Other was a friend had something stolen and we found it on Facebook, went to the person selling it and got it back. The threat of police in that instance was enough for them to return it.
I’m not saying the second option is right, but the first option gave zero result despite us telling them exactly who had it and with proof of that.
