Low stakes question but I thought it might be worth putting out there for opinions.
I dyed my hair. I’m naturally light/strawberry blonde but as of yesterday I’m a copper redhead. The change is pretty drastic.
In all of the pictures on my OLD profiles my hair is blonde obviously since this is a super recent change, and other than selfies getting new and decent pictures of myself with red hair will probably take a little while.
I don’t want anyone to feel duped, and red hair can be kind of polarizing.
What’s the best way to make it clear that my hair is not how it appears in my pictures?
I usually avoid using selfies in my profiles but I feel like this is probably an exception.

Upload a selfie, mention it on your profile (I’ve seen women write down that they like to change hairstyles or colors a lot) or make sure to tell them before you meet up for the first time
Personally I think one photo with your current hair colour is enough, together with one single line of “redhead now by the way” or something similar.
I feel like generally if there is some kind of drastic change that is purely cosmetic, one new photo (preferably your first one, head shot) is updated. Then something brief in the profile how that is your current hair color. The rest are fine being left alone, IMO, as long as it’s cosmetic.
A single new pic to show would be fine but i generally wouldn’t even care unless maybe you shaved your head
Selfie as others have mentioned – or if you don’t have one you like then put a fun prompt.
“Recently dyed my hair – guess what color?”
I just dyed my hair purple but it’s definitely not in all my other pics. I took a selfie and even though it’s not an interesting pic I’m using it in my profile so men can see the purple. I realize the color isn’t for everyone. I then sort of shoehorned in “I like to experiment with hair color” to one of my Hinge prompts. I’ve been getting a ton of likes and comments on the color on the new selfie so I think my point is being made.
I cut my hair recently and so have one selfie with it shorter. (And frankly get a ton of compliments on that one since you can see my eyes very clearly.) You could add one and a note, my hair is now the color in the third photo (or whatever number it is)!
How fun! I’d just note it in the profile like others have said.
I would take a fresh selfie and upload it, but speaking as someone who also dyes their hair red from a natural darker blonde…give it two weeks and it won’t be as drastic as it is now. Red fades *so fast*!
