Basically I (20 m) went backpacking with some people and afterwards I texted one of the girls if she wanted to hang out and she said “yes definitely” and then a couple days later we met up got ice cream and then sat and talked for like 5 hours until I had to leave. It was basically a date. I think she’s interested but I don’t wanna rush things but I also don’t want to waste my time. Like if she likes me would she except me to make a move soon? Women are confusing sometimes

There is absolutely nothing confusing about this. You asked her to get together, she showed up, and now the ball is in your court to plan another hangout. Yes you need to make a move, you’re obviously interested in this girl and she does too for even agreeing to hangout with you for 5 hours. Trust me if she had no interest in getting to know you, she would have made excuses not to show up. She literally even replied “yes definitely” after you asked, that should be a massive indicator.
Make the move next time you’re with her, you’re overcomplicating things. Stop being scared.
I don’t find this confusing in the slightest. First of all, that was a date. I’d argue that at 5 hours, it was almost dates #1, 2 and 3 combined. Do you like her enough to ask her out again? If the answer is yes, ask. If no, don’t.
Don’t spend to much time wondering whether she wants to go out again. You’ll get your answer when you ask. As long as you graciously accept No as am answer and don’t keep asking, I’ve never heard any woman complain about a polite request for a date.
