SpareRoom is like Gumtree, but with a better reputation. You pay your rent to the landlord, not SpareRoom.
You do your due diligence wrt scams. Have you visited the flat? Have you read and understood the contract? Have you/are you able to meet other flatmates?
You can’t pay via spareroom. Its not a feature they offer.
Sparerooms is just an advert page – it’s not like Airbnb
