Need a casual blazer for a conference tomorrow and decided go head on to Next today. They had what I wanted but it was in the wrong size.

Has anyone had any experience collecting an online order from the store next day? They said it’ll be there by noon but I’m kinda skeptical and would like to hear about another consumer’s experience with regards to this.

  1. Can I ask why you’re skeptical?

Orders like this will be loaded onto a lorry at the cutoff hour and delivered usually the following morning to store using their internal logistics as opposed to via the post. Worst case, it could be DPD, UPS or similar, again using pre 12 delivery.

Usually they use 12 as a cutoff point to ensure the store has enough time to process, often you’ll get an email about 10-11 if it’s a small store.

Source: Worked in a similar retailer, we had deliveries daily and customer orders were delivered as part of core stock.

  2. It’s been a 50/50 experience for me. They’ve delayed a lot of my orders, sometimes for over a week. Maybe I’ve just been unlucky but I don’t trust the service anymore.

  3. I click and collect everything I get from Next, as I need their Tall range and it’s only online. It’s almost always on time.
