This guy I use to work with randomly messaged me if I wanted to come over his place tonight. I responded with I’ll go out for drinks. He then asked where and I said anywhere cheap and not loud. He said he will let me know because he’s far away right now.
Was that a nice let down? Did it seem he just wanted to hook up? I feel all guys just try to hook up with me and that’s it and I have no idea why

Ah, maybe because they think they can? No harm in trying.
“cheap and not loud” –could be a modest challenge for most areas imo
