Here in Spain, I love to make a stew of lentils, chicken stock, potatoes and carrots for less than €1 when the veggies are not super fresh.

  1. Lentil soup for me. Lentils, stock, salt, pepper, maybe an onion. I make it in the pressure cooker, it takes ten minutes. Fantastic soup , great as breakfast as well, especially with a hunk of sourdough and squeeze of lemon.

  2. Hehe I was commenting on lentils soup as well.

For me garbanzos, chickpeas, as cheap as lentils but a different taste that I prefer to lentils, by a very small margin.

  3. Pasta con tonno.

Cheap spaghetti with cheap canned tunfish. The classic of uni students.
