ARGHHHHHH. It was the end of class and I took just long enough to pack my bags so that I’d bump into her. Asked her if she was alright, then talked a bit about work. The conversation went on for a few minutes as we were walking.

Then she pulls her phone out

Normally I would take this as a solid indication that someone wants to cut the interaction short, but she maintained the same effort to carry on the conversation, so I was honestly a bit unsure. The doubt got the better of me and I assumed she was feeling uncomfortable, so I just told her I’d see her later and walked *backwards* to where we’d come from.

  1. She is a person too. Maybe she just wanted to use her phone, or she was uncomfortable because she doesn’t like conversations. Maybe she was too nervous while talking to you (not because of anything bad), or maybe she’s just an asshole or isn’t interested in you at all, which isn’t something bad at all. Don’t put her into a pedestal, think about her like you think about you.

I’m sorry if i came off as rude, I’m not an native english speaker.

  2. from a girls perspective (and something i’ve done myself too) , she may have just pulled her phone out because she felt kinda anxious or nervous. But you should be def be proud of yourself for getting the courage to go up and talk to her!
