I’m going to be honest. I have a special interest in people from different cultures than mine.It’s like a… mild, light kink? Like I wouldn’t avoid dating locals at all. But I really like meeting and talking with people from very different backgrounds than mine.
My theory is that it’s something related to me being attracted by intelligence, but it includes a cultural aspect.
Problem is, even though I live in one of the biggest cities in the world. It’s not really an \*international\* hot spot. So there’s not a place I could go to meet expats, and it’s very rare to find internationals over tinder.
Leaving me to try and find other ways online to meet people I might be interested in.
So, now that my context is in the table, what I’m looking for is a way to meet people from all over the world with the intention of actually having a connection, making friends, playing games, chatting, watching stuff, maybe doing artistic collabs together and if it feels right. Maybe have a relationship. Distance or not.
I’m limited to chatting in english or portuguese, but I wouldn’t mind teaching or helping anyone to learn a second language (I actually have fun doing this and it helps ME practice my language skills too).
Problem is… I don’t think I can just go around trying to pickup people on normal social media, and I don’t know any non-predatory dating sites other than tinder. And tinder isn’t really good for that.
It’s not really a thing in my country, but I’ve read a lot about it not being uncommon for people to date and even marry, and have a REAL thing with people living overseas. So I just don’t know how to go after that, and I need some guidance.
