So I’ve been seeing this girl for let’s say 3 years. It was sort of on & off for a period of time because of work related stuff (I had to travel for a bit, she had to move to another city for a bit) but then it all got sorted out. It was perfect for the longest time then suddenly out of nowhere she just went cold on me with no prior warning or signs.
I asked her multiple times why is she acting the way she is? Have I done anything? She just said that she’s going through stuff with her family and friends. She had a few members of her family and friends that were sick but nothing that would justify her going cold on me and there were also no signs of her actually wanting to remedy this situation between me & her.
The only possible reason I could think of is that the girl is materialistic. During the course of our relationship, she’d ask for gifts and I’d give her from time to time. Small semi-affordable gifts and she’d return the favor with sex and that kinda turned the relationship into a sugar daddy/ baby girl type of relationship even though I’m not rich and I’m her age. It made things like if she had sex with me it’ll be like a favor and I have to return the favor and vise versa.
Anyways, after a while she started asking for more expensive gifts and that’s where I drew the line. I started saying no and then she just stopped talking to me. I was so shocked because it was like talking to a business owner/company and not a person who I have known and shared memories with. It was so strange to me.
I know I’m better off without her but I have to say that I do miss her. Do you guys think I should try and reconnect with her and maybe figure things out or I should let it go?
