We’ve been talking for about 3 months and we’ve had a lot (15 ish) of fun dates. We really can talk about our feelings to each other very well and she says that she really likes me and wants to be with me but something in her is holding her back from a relationship. We tried a relationship but we stopped it after a week because she had a feeling that it’s not right or something (she can’t really tell where the ‘bad’ feeling is coming from). I think her mind just associates the word ‘relationship’ with bad memories from her past relationship.

Right now we still see each other regularly (without kissing etc.), but I don’t know if I should wait until she feels ready for a new relationship or if I should move on. I really like her and think she’s amazing but I also feel like I can’t wait forever.

She knows that I feel like this about it but ofcourse she can’t put a date on when she’ll feel ready neither. So I’m kind of lost what to do, keep going like we are now until she feels ready for a relationship (but god knows how long this will take, if ever…), stop talking to her (would be a shame, I really like her), talk a lot less to her(tried this a while ago but she talked to me about it then and told me she wanted to talk more again), pick a date on which we either are together or stop talking?

Any advice on what I could do would be very welcome! thanks!

    Move on.

  2. Sorry dude but the best advice is to move on.

15 dates and she knows how you feel, yet there’s no progress. If you were the right guy there would be a relationship.

I know how shitty it is to read that, but you can’t just wait around forever for something that might not happen.

I also think if you told her that you are going to move on then it might force her to consider how much she truly wants to be in a relationship with you, meaning you either get what you want or you’re set free from this situation
