For me getting a job at an aerospace company (so close yet so far). Or being a pilot in the navy. And no it isn’t because of the new top gun movie. Rather I blame original 1986 movie and history channel programming from the mid 2000s hahaha.

  1. id really love to be an elementary school teacher. i always thought i didn’t get along with kids at all, but after getting into a relationship where they had children, i found myself really happy taking care of, playing with, and teaching them, and i’m apparently a natural. i also love art, so i’d love to be an art teacher at an elementary or middle school. i think its pretty realistic, i just don’t have the money for college right now lol.

another one i’ve always dreamed of (it might sound stupid lol) is to work at an ice cream shop. not own it, but just scooping ice cream and being a cashier. i could probably get a job like that now, honestly, but maybe not since it’s about to be winter.

  2. I don’t have a dream job, a job is work and work sucks. But I’m a sysadmin and it’s OK as far as having to make a living goes, but doing my best to retire as early as possible so I can stop this job shit.

  3. Owning a small cleaning company. You can make pretty good money cleaning commercial properties in the evening. They usually don’t take more than a few hours

  4. My dream job is to sell the minimal amount of physical and mental time for the highest cost. My dream is to forget completely about my job in between check out and check in, while getting paid enough to think about whatever I want.

Maybe I’m in the minority, but I think it’s a growing minority of people who do not have a dream job. They have a dream life that the job supports in the least invasive way possible.

  5. I want to be a personal trainer who focuses on weight loss. I am confident I can help anyone with reaching their weight loss/weight control goals after studying and practicing it over 10 years. Doing that everyday would give me so much fulfilment.

Buuuut my current job/business provides me with a significantly higher salary than being a personal trainer. I want to able to semi retire in 10-15 years then I will do my dream job!

  6. Dream is just to do something that improves peoples lives, especially people facing hardship. Currently getting a master in mechanical engineering so I would say I have a very decent chance of being able to do that.

  7. Pretty much what I’m already doing, but at a slower pace: Part time stay at home dad, part time my current job (software/coding stuff)

  8. Concept artist

    Comic artist

Some opportunities have fallen apart at the last minute but at least it’s not a pipe dream anymore.

  9. Fantasy novel writer.

My issue is that while I can get started, I don’t know how to properly fill the story to make it feel grounded (as in able to imagine the scene from the text) or always want to get to the good part of it too quickly.

… and I tend to end up giving up early on and just move on to something else entirely.
