What are peoples thoughts about messaging people outside of dating app?

First what are girls opinions of guys that messaged them outside of a dating app (not listed their social).
I (23m) matched with someone on hinge, sent a couple messages here and there but they never responded so I stopped messaging them and has been a few weeks (we are still matched but hidden for those that have used hinge). But i recently randomly came across a video of them on youtube and i really liked a lot of stuff they were talking about and what not, and we seem to have a lot of similarities. I’m debating on messaging them on their insta but don’t know if I should. I admit out of curiosity it got the better of me and looked into them abit and found the group they are a apart of (i was part of a similar group) and their insta. I know it sounds creepy but I genuinely like the stuff they are doing (related to the vid). I most likely won’t message them but the amount of similarities we have in common is something I haven’t found before in many years.
