Hi, the issue is the title. I’m horrible with texting and overthink so much with it. Like to the point where I’ll start shaking just from texting. So I apologize if this is a dumb question.
They will sometimes send memes or whatever they want to share with me but won’t actually open messages until a while later?
If they’re actively on their phone but don’t want to interact with me just yet then sure whatever I wouldn’t know and I’m not bothered, I do the same thing. But sending me stuff whilst ignoring my messages? I don’t understand. Why?

Because they don’t really value and respect you. They only care that you give them attention. People make time and effort with those whom they want to make time and effort for. They don’t ignore messages from somebody that they respect.
That depends on several factors.
I often browse memes before anything that requires me to arrive somewhere on a certain time. When I stumble upon a nice meme I send it to one of my friends and go do whatever I have to do.
I don’t really check my messages at all when I’m out (and I have disabled notifications), so I only read them when I come back.
Is it possible that something like that is happening here? Or maybe they message several people at a time?
I am asking that because “a while” is very subjective.
