I’m really sorry but if you’re friends are treating you with a type of pity or somehow as a victim then they’re messed up in the head. I have black friends who aren’t in the least bit ashamed of being black and it means that basically nothing within reason offends them, in the exact same way that I’m not ashamed of being white and nothing offends me so long as it’s banter or said in good humour
