I am unaware if there’s a new level of sensitivity that people need to pursue in this time.

While planning an event for a group, I suggested it would be fun to make slime and I was asked where how would the slime be packed I suggest zip lock bags. Then someone mentions that having their slime packed in a zip lock bag may hurt peoples egos. I thought they were joking but they were serious about it.

In another instance same person claim that if the picture of their pet offends anyone to let them know so they can pull it down.

I’m just thinking how can any of these things truly hurt or even offend anyone? Hey I’m just trying to understand people and this is the first time I come across anything like this. Please educate me.

  1. They’re overly sensitive. Ignore them. Also, highly recommend avoiding them because they sound nuts and may get offended by you for no reason. Don’t walk on eggshells.

It’s one thing to be respectful of someone’s ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or religion (all good things) and it’s another to listen to genuinely over sensitive people. People are kinda going through a moral panic right now, so some people are seriously psychologically damaged.

  2. Both of those things wouldn’t offend someone. Maybe they are just trying to see your reaction? o.o; That’s very strange.

  3. There are lots of things I wouldn’t say now that 10 years ago were acceptable. Most of the changes are reasonable.

    These examples sound like nonsense.

  4. Ok here’s your education: there’s something wrong with that one friend of yours. Ignore everything they say about hurting other’s feelings.
