Hello, like the title mentioned.

I have 2x tickets for a Ultra White Collar Boxing event (this company does lots of events in the UK).

At a late notice (8 days before the event), they have changed venue, date and also the content (less fights etc.). I have enquired about getting a refund as cannot make the new date.

They are refusing saying tickets are non refundable as per their terms and conditions. Is this legal and allowed? I always thought that if details was changed such as dates/venue etc, then you would get a choice of a refund?

If they refuse still, could i possible take this further? I paid credit card so am tempted to try a chargeback.

  1. They probably have a line or two explaining this in their terms and conditions that you agreed to when you purchased the ticket.

So, no, it probably not illegal. Shady as hell, sure, but probably nothing else you can do.

  2. They’ve significantly changed the deal. Read the small print but as it’s a fight, and boxers get injured, I expect they’re well covered.
If it was a music gig I’d kick off, but fighting.. takes ya risk id say
