Am I the only one that uses these when going down on a girl that I’m not in a monogamous relationship with? I’ve had casual hookups get offended when I put one on them before going down. The last girl said nobody had ever done that to her before and that she was turned off, and then left. I feel like most people know and (should) expect condoms to be worn for casual hookups, but is everybody really out here raw dogging oral with strangers?

I understand what you are doing but it could seem rather strange to your partners. I have a friend that has hpv1 and she suggested Saran Wrap with some lube on “her” side works well too. She and I are considering having casual sex together so she made me aware of this the other day.
Perhaps before being “in the situation” and whipping out the dental dam or cling wrap, you should have the discussion with your partner(s) about your concerns.

I remember a BuzzFeed video talking about dental dams and their experience. I can’t remember which video it was though. It was forever ago. She mentioned that some hookups and partners was like what’s that, not gonna use it and some could understand I think.
It all comes down to sex education. And we always get taught male and female sex but not female and female, male and male and so forth.
To go down on someone you don’t know that well without one seems pretty risky. I think most women want guys to wear condoms, why wouldn’t a guy want to be safe too.
