How comfortable are you with buildings using biometric authentication as a security process?

  1. I would counter this by asking why the discomfort?

Biometrics are a great deterrent against physical intrusion.

The only data stored on the server is the pattern matching your fingerprints, as well as the relevant metadata (_name, address, phone, profile pic, etc._) that identifies you **and only you** as an occupant. Keys / keycards can be forged.

  2. I’d be worried someone is going to cut off my thumbs to gain access to the building

  3. If I was a spy or a paranoid conspiracy theorist I’d be worried but I’m just a normal guy so it wouldn’t bother me in the slightest.

  4. I hate the idea of someone having my data and spying on me!

    Hey alexa, whats the weather?

  5. More security means more delays in life. If it takes me 20 minutes to get in my own house, fuck it.

  6. Soft pass from me. As long as it runs smoothly I’m fine with it, but it won’t; and I’m against anything that makes it easier for businesses to keep homeless people out of their property, on principle.

  7. I have coworkers that have barely figured out a normal time clock and one who buys into the Qannon BS, I kind of want to watch that absoloute shitshow play out.
