Howdy all. I’m 20M and live in off-campus college housing. Nextdoor to my apartment is an apartment of I think five females. Being that they’re nextdoor I think it would be good to get to know them and make friends with them, but I’m not sure the best way to go about it.
I just moved in with my roommates and they all knew each other before. We hangout and have people over at the apartment sometimes but it seems like they want to keep it mostly just their group and not invite outside people much.
I’m also worried that if I do much more than introduce myself they’ll get the wrong idea and think I’m trying to get to know them for sexual reasons.
Anyways, that’s the situation, any advice helps, just want to make some new friends. Thanks!

Make a bunch of cookies or something and knock on their door, introduce yourself “I live next door blah blah” and say you made cookies and had a lot of extras. Gives you a reason to interact with them and something nice to start off the relationship with.
Or just go say hi. One year in college, there was an apartment of girls right across the hall from me. We never really interacted. Come senior year, I meet some new friends and one them had lived in that apartment. Here I am years later and we’re still very close. It worked out but I often think that we could have had so much more time together if I had just said hi.
