So I (F18) and my boyfriend (M18) recently got together and i’m his first actual girlfriend. I’m infatuated with him but when he’s with his friends it’s like he forgets i’m there sometimes. We went on a two hour car ride and his friend asked if he was going to nap in the back him me and he was like no it’s okay. I was actually disappointed he didn’t want to sit with me. When we were with two of his friends we went out for lunch and when we were done he raced to the passenger seat to call shotgun meanwhile I sit in the back. He’s also close friends with a girl and he talks more to her more then me. I know that it’s not my place to be upset because he’s known her for longer and they’ve been friends since before I knew him. But he admitted to me that he had feelings for her in the past. I know that he wouldn’t cheat on me, but I can’t help but feel jealous that she’s getting more attention then me.

So when y’all are w his friends he ignores you and he talks to another girl that he’s admitted he’s had (or still has) feelings for?
This ain’t the guy for you. If he wanted to be w you he’d be proud to be w you no matter who was around. He’s your BF not the other girls. You have a right to be pissed at him for ignoring you & putting another girl before you.
All he’s doing is keeping you around for when he’s bored and has no one else to talk to.
Do yourself a favor and move on to someone who can’t get enough of you. Someone that puts you first & genuinely wants to be w you.
Guys like this are idiots. Goes after girls who aren’t into them but ignores the girl he has.
I’ve seen this a lot in the past. I don’t know what goes through their minds.
But you can do better. If you decide to walk away don’t listen to him if he promises to be better or things will change and certainly don’t listen if he says you won’t find anyone that treats you as good as him. Or that no one else will want you.
It’s a tactic to keep you w him only.
You’re a young woman and you deserve to be treated much better by someone who truly wants to be w you.
