Introverts, what is your retirement plan if you remain single and childless?

  1. Continue doing what I’m doing now: travel, hobbies, and friends… And then to Switzerland for assisted suicide once I can’t take care of myself. But hopefully I’ll never get to that point.

  2. Travel, keep up with my unhealthy amount of hobbies, take my friends out, maybe I’ll adopt a kid so when I eventually die my things will go to someone who needs it.

  3. Become a wood worker and glass maker in my older years. But that’s my plan regardless of being with someone or not.

  4. Pretty much made my peace with remaining single and childless after my partner died.

Save money until retirement, then sell my house and take the profits to downsize somewhere near family or friends with a lower cost of living. Maintain good relationships with my nieces, nephews, and friends, and when I hit 55+, consult with an elder care attorney about what arrangements I should be making to protect myself.

Personally, I’d like to use my retirement to travel. Maybe take that cross-country road trip I’ve never had the time to do.

  5. Was thinking to adopt honestly. Not the best, but at least I have a plan and give a parentless child a chance.

  6. I’ll be retired at the age of 55.

Gonna move somewhere with a great BJJ culture and good SCUBA diving

  7. I guess the same as most people with children. Looking for a good retirement home in my financial area and trying to live the end as full as possible.

  8. Enjoy life at its fullest It would have a little difficulties here and there but I’m certain I can still enjoy life.

  9. Not sure why this is asked towards introverts (will OP have the same question aimed at extroverts? Eh, probably not).

Is the assumption because introverts keeps to themselves that they’re most likely to live and die alone OP?

  10. Born with a heart disease and was always told that my life expectancy would probably be quite a bit less than average so I’ll just keep having a good time until my heart gives out I guess lol

  11. Retirement is an illusion. Not working for money is the goal whether it’s having a business or any other type of sustainable income other than employment income.
